Yeah, when the new missions starts. You crashland, she shows up on her horse, beats the shit out of you, and blows up your ride.

It was just great. Story, characters, boss fights, presentation, almost everything.

9.5 (based on the Subsistence version). The running sniper battle with The End is worth the price of admission alone.

Absolutely no fault. A perfect game. There has never been a better game crafted.

This discussion makes me want to try it again, of course I no longer have a BC PS3 or a PS2, so that's going to be kinda tough. If I do get the chance, is it worth dragging my sorry ass through the gameplay to see the full game? Keep in mind I found MGS1 to be the best, I liked 2 a lot and found MGS4 to be a bit overcomplicated and not enough fun.

"the end"

I could end my basis for review right there, in terms of putting the player in the game, nothing has topped that boss battle since, amazing music, grand set peices, less techno bable(although till present). one of my top ten games of all time, my favorite MGS, "the end" and the final boss battle with *** **** is worthy of a 10/10 alone, however camera and camo switching issues bring it down to 9.7. To this day there hasn't been a game that absorbed me as much as mgs3, to really make you feel like you out there surviving off snakes and rations.
