Now that we have established that Sony's motion controller is not a ripp-off of Nintendo's Wii Remote (a prototype was demonstrated as early as 2004, long before Wii http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JbSzmRt7HhQ ), I'd like to ask: Do you think Playstation Move is an improvement over Wii Remote which will make new kinds of games possible?

"Well certainly with the Xbox 360, we had some challenges at the launch. Once we identified that we took control of it. We wanted to do it right by our customers. Our customers are very important to us." -Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb (10/2013). Note: RRoD was fixed with the Jasper-revision 3 years after the launch of 360

"People don't pay attention to a lot of the details."-Yusuf Mehdi explaining why Xbone DRM scheme would succeed

"Fortunately we have a product for people who aren't able to get some form of connectivity; it's called Xbox 360,”-Don Mattrick

"The region locking of the 3DS wasn't done for profits on games"-MDMAlliance

Maybe, but after yesterday show I'm not convinced.

I mean, there was no game that even scratched that Sword rotation tech demo. That blew my mind.
And more importantly, there was no game for me - since, with the exception of eyepet, all games have similar experiences on the Wii.

it is technologically superior, that is a fact. But it has other weaknesses that wiimote has as strengths.

Hmm but the Wii remote was in development since 02, so is it still then a ripoff?

I agree. I want to see the third party support for Move. If we see RE5 like games it could put Sony in a good position at the end of this year. Its just a wait and see type thing right now.

Over Wii-remote yes, over Wii Motion Plus not much, and considering you can buy Wii Mote + Nunchuk + Wii Motion Plus for 60$ (on Amazon) while the PS Move starter kit (maybe without its version of nunchuck) will cost 80-90$. Probably is a compact version of the Wii Remote with 1:1 (or near) movement, but I think his problem will be the price, and the fact that the most selling games don't need it.

CURRENTLY PLAYING: Xenoblade (Wii), Super mario 3D land (3DS), Guild Wars (PC)

who knows :p? the games they showed wasnt the best i've seen...:p Ign confirmed it works perfectly fine, but the games are meh..:P So i wont judge until i see Ape escape:p

The wii remote is already outhere. The PS move is yet to be released. A safe conclusion now is not possible. Wait and see...

I can't tell you until I try it. I won't go by what Sony is promising it will do. Of course, they're going to say it's the greatest thing since sliced bread since they're the ones that are trying to sell it.

Technically speaking, yes. Almost definitely. I don't think there are many things the Wiimote can do that the Move can't.
