There are generally three factors which determine which party will gain the presidency.

1. The incumbent president's approval rating (which is historically low now)
2. Economic growth rates (which are much, much lower)
3. The length of time the incumbent party has been in power.

All of these factors, taken with a long-term lead in nearly every poll, indicate that Obama will be the next president.
