I did get a "I don't care... sure" once though. Which... I mean, screw that. If you don't care what's the point.

right, good plan, but i really like this girl and well im going to visit people i knew when i lived away from home and she will be there so its kind of awkward.

Ah, in that case i'd just wait and see if things developed there... and if nothing did organically ask her out near the end of the trip.

Depending on her friend... she may of told her that you asked her if she liked you already, so she may be waiting for you to ask her out one way or another.
