As I said, telling people now that the 80 gb will go down to 500 dollars will hamper sales of that SKU.

By logic, if this is a limited edition and it is 600 dollars, then wouldn't the normal console only edition be priced less? By simple logic.

The only thing you can bring up is that it might not be dropped to 500 dollars at which I say yes it will because the consumers and retailers accept this as the new main PS3 price point and reverting to a higher price point even at 550 dollars or so is commercially harmful.

im not saying they wont do that but they are confusing the hell out of consumers right now.. but if they dont drop the price of the80 gb then they are doomed... dam now wonder jack trenton said its not an official price drop at E3.. so technically they never dropped the price..
