That's not talking crap. He later goes on to state how they added value at the same price point. That's pretty much what is happening, especially now that we know the 60GB is being discontinued when stock runs out.
He then says this:
"You know, I haven't made any comment - we'll have to wait and see, I did see Nintendo's George Harrison saying that it's ineffective, but the consumer will vote on that, and I think Jack did say, anecdotally, that their sales have doubled over the weekend, so we shall see."
Which is basically marketing speak for "I'm not going to bash the competition like others have done and we'll see what the customer thinks".
