Even though some devs have said they will focus on the Wii more, I fail to see the big-name IPs that have switched, Yes, maybe alot of smaller useless Japanese franchises, but in the US and Europe, most franchises are still strongly PS3/360. Because of this, alot of middlecore's that got PS2s might not pick up Wiis when their favorite software titles aren't there. There are alot of people, as said, that grew up on Mario, but there are even more that grew up on mid-90s Final Fantasies, Halos, GTAs, Grand Turismos, Resident Evils, and the rest, that once they look into a new system, might not consider the Wii for a first tier system.

I think it is too early to claim that big franchises haven't switched to the Wii and that they will not switch in the future ...

The fact is that it takes 18 to 24 months to produce a big budget Wii (PS2/XBox/Gamecube) game and up to 24 to 36 months to produce a big budget PS3/XBox 360 game. We already know that most publishers did not see the appeal of the Wii before E3 2006 and expected the PS3 to be dominant again (thus their big IP developers were working on PS3 projects).

As teams complete major PS2, PS3, and XBox 360 games they will become available and possibly switch to Wii development; we don't know but the developers of games like Gundam Musou may have already switched to Wii development and be working on games that will be announced at TGS or E3 2008.
