It's marketing 101 to downplay any questions geared toward your competition and play up your own product's attributes. Fresh out of college I got a job as a marketing director for a company and was nearly fired for doing this exact same thing.

It looks bad in the eyes of the consumers. It's a desperate ploy that makes you look petty and out of touch when you should be talking up your own product and why people should buy it.

I just can't understand why he thought it was okay to take this opportunity to slam the 360 right after the PS3 had the best E3 of the bunch.

What, didn't he have anything interesting to say about his own product? I don't even own one but their E3 got me interested again.
