I think some people are getting a bit carried away. Final Fantasy XII sold just over 5 million. Impressive? Yes. Earth-shatteringly amazing? No. Mario Party 8 has already sold more copies!

Final Fantasy XIII is a draw for the hardcore, but almost no-one else.
