Rule #1.) Jack Tretton can't speak in public again, ever.

Pretty bland conference. The Resistance gameplay looked kind of shitty (the gray blank expanse when you looked at the ground from the buildings was PS2-esque), but the trailer they showed later looked decent.

The LBP charts were interesting, but they still did nothing in terms of explaining what the hell the game is about to the masses.

The video service announcement was long overdue, but they're basically just matching another service Live provided over a year ago. Now Live adds the new Netflix thing, and Sony is once again behind in features.

The God of War teaser and the video of MAG (Massive Action Game? That's the name? Really?) were underwhelming. The concept of MAG is interesting, but whether it executes properly is the real issue. I'm guessing it's still quite a ways off, so we'll see how it shapes up down the road. The God of War trailer may have been the most generic thing I've ever seen. Change the model to Ryu Hayabusa and it could have been used as a teaser for Ninja Gaiden 2 at E3 2006.

Between this and the Nintendo conference, I was entirely unimpressed. Nintendo showed nothing new besides Animal Crossing and the new Motion add-on with Wii Sports Resort.

Sony's conference gave me no inspiration to rush out and get a PS3 immediately, although the 80 GB basically becoming the standard package this fall was a nice announcement.

Honestly, I think MS "won" (if you can call it that) the press conference head-to-head with nothing more than the FFXIII announcement. Neither of the other two did a whole lot to wow people in one big moment. It's too bad, because I was hoping for a bit more excitement heading into the show itself.

The dedication you show to any particular console or company is inversely proportional to the number of times you have gotten laid. If you get laid enough, even if you prefer a certain brand, you just don't give enough of a shit to argue about it on the internet.
