They have an interesting financial strategy too: Take away every possible great games away from other consoles by bribing companies in order to make your console look better. Looks like it pulled through...

There will be over 20 million 360's in consumers hands by the time FF13 lands. Given Sony is not paying for exclusivity, give me now a reason why SE should purposedly ignore 20-40 millions of revenue (gross estimation). Basically, you are operating under the assumption that dev companies do not want to put out games for MS system and dont want the money from the 360 userbase. That's nonsense. are you that bitter?

Let's look at the real situation - the ps3 has a sub 15 million installed base, the 360 is closing on 20 million and both are showing pitiful growth compared with the leading platform (Wii). High production value games cost at least 15 million dollars while blockbusters like FF13 are probably somewhere between 20 and 40 million dollars.

@Million: if you think using resources so 3rd party developers make the games instead of using an internal studio is "buying exclusives", I'm hoping you boycott White Knight Chronicles because that's Sony paying level 5 to develop a game exclusively for the playstation 3.
