I dont think a motion controller has to have anything to do with games like Gears. Releasing and announcing in October gives MS plenty of time to advertise the WiiSports like game now included in the box with the new 360s that include a motion controller. Remember the time for this really to make an impact is Christmas sales.
Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.
