All I have to say to that is the best policy in any console generation has ALWAYS been to wait a couple years to see how things started to pan out before committing to one platform if the option of going with more than one is not a financial option.

You still get the lower hardware prices on the latest consoles, better bundle options and you also get the added benefit of a two year library, plus discounted games.

But I also realize not many gamers want to hear that since the typical thing to do is buy early so as to reap the perceived benefit of gaming on the bleeding edge.

If you don't have patience, then be prepared to pay in more ways than one.
