Let's not be too pessimistic. With the exception of the FFXIII announcement, the Microsoft conference was weak. Admittedly, they ended well, but taken as a whole, it wasn't overly impressive. At this stage, Sony might not have any single announcement of equal size, but a strong showing with a varied array of quality titles would be more than enough to force a draw or even a win. As much as this announcement impacts on so-called "core" gamers, it means diddly squat to the average person on the street. Remember how the gaming press laughed at WiiFit? Well WiiFit ended up on any number of talk shows and newspapers and has gone on to sell extremely well. Guess who's laughing now? So yeah, if Sony can put together a solid, varied showing then I'm happy. I didn't buy my PS3 for one game, I bought it for the variety set to arrive later this year and next year. Give me that and I'm happy, and it's not like FFXIII is 360 exclusive.
