. For the Love of God, they have a, and I quote, My Xbox Channel. It's blatant.

They've been using the term "My Xbox" for all the Xbox.com content for at least a couple years.  It's your homepage on xbox.com.  All they did was give it the same name.  Just like every other online entity as "My...."  Look at the left of your screen.  "My profile" "MyMailbox" "MyGames"  etc. etc.

Can you really get that worked up about it?  Please.

Everyone borrows ideas from everyone else in every industry.  Why would gaming be any different?  Starbucks mass marketed Frappucinos.  Now you can et the equivalent in every coffee shop, convenience store etc. in the world.   Every fastfood hamburger place in the world is modeled after McDonalds.

It all comes down to execution and how well integrated all the material is.  I mean Wii has Mii's.  So?  You need to be a rocket scientist to connect to anybody on their crap service and do anything with them.  Think about this:  all the new content is going to immediately work with every game since launch.  Sony introduces trophies (achievements) and might get three or four games using them five months from now.

So yah, they have a lot of the same crap - just like every competitive industry.  But there's a reason why some clothing stores turn into the Gap or Abercrombie or Old Navy and are hugely successful and the others go out of business.  They all sell the same crap, basically.  But they carve out a niche in the whole package.

I'll just never understand how fans of a one system or the other can get so upset at a corporation for such trivial things.  Quick.  Name 2 console makers to get sued over patent infringements this year.  Oh wait.  MS wasn't one of them?  Well that's odd. All they do is steal crap, remember?  Hmmm.

Can't we all just get along and play our games in peace?
