A few notes:
SE has never said that FFXIII would be day-and-date WW. They've alluded to it, and are pushing more and more for it, but never confirmed.
*IF* XIII was going to be delayed due to the Xbox 360, I can assure you that Microsoft would pay whatever costs needed to ensure proper funding for the port/development/translation onto the Xbox 360.
Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
