Come on now, Nintendo fans. You've been trumpeting: "It's not about the graphics, it's about the games, games games," for a long time now; you can't just suddenly turn around and say: "who cares about the games, the financial analysts like Nintendo!"

E3 is a show about games -- and, I'd point out, particularly oriented towards the hardcore gamer. Sony did a great job of catering to that crowd. In truth, I think Nintendo did show a good deal of games, just that a lot of those were more casual games that aren't suited to the E3 audience.

Sony had stuff for both hardcore and casual gamers, as did the other 2 companies. Sony just had the best overall press conference and a really strong showing because their focus was mainly on games, both this year and next. I love your point about games. If Sony does something it's always missing the target, but if Nintendo does it it's genius.

Yeah, Sony wasn't completely lacking in more casual gaming, but I think we can both agree that Nintendo is definitely leading the way in that area. It's very succesful for them, but as we both agree, it probably isn't suitable for a show like this.
