That significantly diminishes the blow of losing the FF13 exclusivity because Japan is the place where Final Fantasy moves consoles in droves. It's still huge though but Sony must be pretty smart. They know they couldn't get into a bidding war with Microsoft for full exclusivity and probably spent much less locking Japan.
