They did.  But it worked for a few months.  For them anyway, this sort of thing screws gamers sometimes.  This time its a bit different because Microsoft specifically stated its a clearance sale.

no,no,no, it's different this time, because it's Microsoft. I mean last time SC made fun of it, but that was Sony, this time it's much better because it's Microsoft. Don't you get it?

There are two major differences between Sony's actions and Microsoft's:

- Sony were cancelling one SKU to put an inferior SKU on the market, Microsoft is putting a better one out.

- Sony didn't tell consumers a new model was coming out and they were having a clearance sale, Microsoft did.
