Believe me when I say I'm one of God of War's biggest fans...

But I always thought puzzles in God of War are completely unnecessary. It's a game focused on battle itself, the best thing it delivers is the combat-system. I don't really know what's THAT bad about button-mashers, they still have their tactics and everything...

But God of War includes all these puzzles... why? The only reason I find is so that the reviewers don't call the game "mindless" or something like that. But, honestly, does Kratos look like the most intelligent guy on Earth? Does he have or need to be?

The puzzles are usually simple lever pushing and at one time a real 10 piece puzzle.

As for the OT, I see the compaison, one difference is what's after the open world, the Zelda cities and stuff. The open world isn't just for show, its like the interface (interface?) ; it makes a very big difference.
