Actually I doubt 8gb of memory would cost 100-150$ Why? First you can buy 2, 4gb Memory Stick Pro Duo, for under 125$. I doubt they cost more than 75$ to make... (at that size) I dont see why they couldnt use a few sizes bigger... You can buy a 1gb CF card for 8$. here is a 8gb SD http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820211148 for 50$. Second. Becuase of the center of gravity on the PSP, a touch screen would be nicer. (I'm sorry but due to the flippy flappy top on the DS, I find it hard to find a confy way to hold it to use the touch screen. (it tends to be back heavy. I was just holding my PSP in my hand, with my left hand square center on the back, and it was balanced MUCH better for stylus use than a DS. I am firmly against a PSP2 for 2 reasons. 1. I just bought one. 2. I will be very angry. 3. I wont be buying the new one. (so basically I will leave the handheld market) 4. The PSP is finally starting to get some momentum... to throw that away, will be like saying. "We screwed up, and the PSP wasnt what we wanted." 5. If it has more power than the PSP, it will need a bigger battery. 6. If it needs a bigger battery, it needs a bigger case. 7. It would probibally need a fan, as the PSP can get kinda hot. 8. Because of the fan it would need a bigger battery. 9. Because it is so much bigger and filled with aluminum heat sinks... it will kinda be heavy. 10. While it is now so big, it no-longer fits in your pocket... or in your hands. 11. Since it is now a desktop item... might as well strap a 5inch 720p screen up to a PS3 and put a car battery in a back-pack, and put a inverter in there as well to power it all. In all seriousness. The PSP is fine the way it is. The thumb-stick could move a little, and the screen could have a little better refresh rate. But in all seriousness... The touchscreen would work. I dont like that idea tho. It couldnt have quite as hard a screen protector. The 8gb internal memory... not a problem at all. I dont see where you see that as a problem. I can see a new hardware revision. But I cant see a new standard. Seriously, if you double the PSP's power... you half it's battery life... add double the battery... factor in added heat. The PSP now weighs 2x as much. It's already heavy. (although it's about as heavy as a DS... wich amuses me. Another thing. DS and DSL both weigh about the same. One is just fractionally smaller than the other, and slighly lighter. My old DS, is ALMOST the exact same size as the PSP when folded. Everyong thinks the PSP is big. Ha~
