Sorry, but between the three, there is no doubt that Sony controls the living room.

Who sells the most TV's?

Who sells the most DVD players?

Who sells the most surround sound systems?

Who sells the most High Definition movie players?

Who sells the most speakers?

Who sells the most Amplifiers?

WHo sells the most VCR's, or DAT players (some people still have those).

Who owns the rights to over half the movies ever made?

Forget the fact that Sony has sold more gaming systems then anyone else over the last 10 years, Sony owns your loving room.

 

 Well, you're trying to compare the living room thing, between one company that produces all of those things, and two companies that don't.

 

If you want to get technical, Matsushita have eaten Sony alive on everything but game consoles, and Nintendo have roundly thrashed what was left of the once "great" Sony. And let's not forget, that for each of those "victories" Sony gained by being able to claim they were the number one selling game console maker, Nintendo was able to thrash them again, from third place, in profits.

Being first place doesn't always make you the winner.
