Your right, the wii is its own console, and not the ps2. It won't dominate the market in the same way the ps2 did, but if current trends stay the same it will sure outsell the ps2. Oh and it will get close to the same amount of Japanese 3rd party support, just not the western support, which is fine, since Nintendo's first parties make up for it.
