My point is, these all in one players like the 360 and PS3 aren't catching on. They sell to gamers and both sell well, but they're not hitting that mass market, and I think it's because people aren't looking for all in one players like these. It took the masses long enough just to learn how to press play on a VCR. Then they had to relearn this difficult step when DVD players became popular. You think they can navigate those Microsoft Blades or PS3 menus? Ha! I'd give them a cookie if they can find the on button.

I agree that these all in one boxes are not catching on. If you don't play games, you probably won't buy a PS3, and you definitely won't buy a 360.

My point is if they don't, that still puts Sony in the drivers seat for domination of living room appliances.

MS has nothing else to sell, other then a Media extender, and software on some DVR boxes. (oh yea, put DVR's on my list :p). Nintendo has nothing.

Nintendo is dominating the console market at the moment, but I am not sure that applies to what this post is about.
