check if your tv supports hdmi (you can just look where all the ports are) if so than use hdmi.
what i do is send video through hdmi and sound through the standard defenition cables the ps3 comes with.
so i have hd video and sorround sound because my home theater is old and does not support hdmi.
if you have a home theater that supports hdmi you can easily just use one cable, or if you dont care about surround sound than just go with your tv speakers.
