Doesn't "want" or isn't "capable" may be a question of that matter...

It is possible for anyone to write a good plot. It just takes a matter of having a good imagination and also be willing to not plagerize other storylines. Are you saying Cliff doesn't have a good imagination?

 

You don't need "imagination" to write a good plot. You need talent.

I think Metal Gear Solid never was (or is) concentrated on "imagination"- I mean, you could even ignore the fact that some of the characters are more fantasy oriented, it's still realistic and beautiful. While I don't really find Gears realistic. Or deep in any way...
