Come on guys let's get real with ourselves for a moment. At E3 2007 Nintendo did nothing but brag about how awesome the Wii and DS were announcing and showing off only a few titles, most which were already show at some time before hand. MS showed only games that had been shown before. Sony was really the only one that showed new things, lots of new footage, and decent amount of game announces. Sony won E3 2007, of course it didn't take much.

Nintendo won E3 2006, and gamers won E3 2005. E3 2008 is still up for grabs though and we'll find out in less than 48 hrs what its going to be like.

I see where you're coming from, but I disagree. I was personally bored by all three of the manufacturers last year, but the mainstream took to Nintendo like fish to water. So outside our little corner of the internet (i.e. in the places that matter), it's pretty clear that Nintendo "won" last year. Handily. And sales reflect that, like it or not (for the record, I didn't care too much for it myself).

Nintendo won to the Mainstream because of Wii Fit.  It was easily the biggest announcement to come out of E3 last year.  And that's what the mainstream looks for.  Collosal announcements.  It was the only one made.  It was enough to put Nintendo into a strong E3 but not as strong as Sony's.  Like you I watched all 3 and ALL WERE BORING.  I mean E3 2006 was fun to watch, but 2007 was a borefest.  But Sony won for the simple reason as they showed off more, which is what E3 is for.  AT least to the hardcore.  Showing off lots of new things, and that's what Sony did.  I mean I know we had to suffere with the awful PR throughout that entire show, but Sony won because they showed off a lot.  Nintendo came in second because they did show some things that were new and Wii Fit.  MS came in last because they showed NOTHING NEW.
