@mrstickball

PC still doesn't have JRPGs, and the X360 actually offers MMOs (Conan is coming as well as Champions Online).

There are lots of JRPGs for PC and many of those are hentai games(thats a big win :D).

Still have to pay for the games on Steam, no?

Still you don't have to pay every month for steam.

Are you referring to illegal cracks? At any rate, you have XBLA and XBO games that don't require disks either.

Well, thats only few games. On PC its every game.

LOL! Mind listing me a few computers under $1,000 5 years ago that can play ANY recent game? My 2001 computer (which was pretty decent, spec wise for 2001) can't play ANYTHING made within the past few years.

My 2 years old 600€ computer can play anything there is and with no prob. With new video card it can play games that PS360 players only can dream. (Actually my PC is already much better.)

PC gaming is NOT cheaper. You buy 1 Xbox 360 for $349, and your set until 2012. You buy 1 PC for $1,000 and your set till 2012 if your lucky. Unless you buy a system for >$2,000 your computer is not going to last very long. I've been a PC gamer since 1995, and know this for a fact. Every PC system I've ever owned (after all, every single person on this forum is a PC gamer in some form or fasion) has been outdated for games within ~3 years. My Xbox 360 that I paid $400 for in 2005 hasn't been out dated, and will last for another 3-4 years. I can't say that about the laptop I bought last year - I can't even play anything on it.

Why would anyone buy PC that costs $2000? Also 'outdated'? The only way you play your games is all maxed out? You can play crysis with older machines on low. ( I think my comp did run crysis with medium and thats not what PS360 can do. :) )

And as shio said:

you're ignorant to think $1700 is the PC equivalent of a Xbox 360.... try a $400 PC.

Oh, and if its going to be amount of games. There were near 1000 PC titles last year only. Thats something X360 will achieve on this summer when you count all games, I think. :)

$400 PC , 2005 and $100 upgrade for each second year = $750 (2012)

$400 X360, 2005 and $50 every year for live gold = $750 (2012)

+ games are a lot cheaper on PC. Here new PS360 games are like 60-70€ and PC games 40-50€. Prices also go down a lot faster on PC. For example after few months crysis did cost only half what it did cost as new. Thats really not how PS360 games go.

@Thread

Go for PC, if thats not an option its wii time.
