Go to your local games store (a specialty store like Rhino, or EBGames) and look at the 360 library vs. the PS3 library. Look at the price of (used) multi-platform games, and tell us if you see what the 360 offers.
Go to XBox.com, and see what's available for download (it's an abbreviated list, but even then, you'll see it offers many times what the competition offers).
If you're open minded, grab a Wii. You don't need two HD consoles, but the 360 is definitely a worthy investment.
