They want to finish the game before licensing out the engine. Would make sense. If the game doesn't turn out well, it would reflect badly on the engine.

As for offline multiplayer, the splitscreen would have hurt the performance they were going for. If some don't like that, they don't have to buy it.



A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
