The 50 dollar cut of last year increased a bit the sales for a month or so ,but the sales of this year have been pretty much the same as last year prior the cut.The massive cut in Europe (120 euros so 180 dollars) boosted a bit the sales for some weeks but its returning slowly to the previous level.
X360 with its PC games and the online fees is a too hardcore console,and it has very difficult to expand to really big markets.The price cuts help a bit but wont win the day.THe PS3 ,on the other hand ,more than doubled its sales on a continued base with its price drop and when it drops again it will manage something similar.
