Throughout their entire time as console makers, Sega were rivaling Nintendo as top dogs of first party development. Even after the Dreamcast got flushed, SEGA was on a roll for a few years. Yeah, it makes me sad when I think about it. The Megadrive/Genesis was an excellent system and could rival the SNES. Sega games generally were polished and innovative. Now, they rush their prime franchises for a quick buck.
