Well, it all depends on the definition of winning. I look at it in 2 ways. First, who excites their fanbase the most? Second, who makes the most new announcements?
I feel that Sony won on both accounts. A quick look at the pressers:
Microsoft: They showed a lot of gameplay. Some really cool games, but nothing new (other than throwaways, like Scene It and Disney movie downloads). They decided to focus on now and not the future. Cool stuff, but not a lot to ponder/anticipate for the future.
Nintendo: They talked a lot and showed a whole bunch of montages. They did show us some new gameplay, as well as the zapper, the wheel and the pad. (Which, btw, could be the biggest thing gaming has ever seen. It has a ton of possiblities.) Nintendo is in a weird place right now. They are trying to cater to everyone, but that's going to leave some of the "hardcore" upset with them.
Sony: Well, they showed a lot. From the psp redesign to the gt trailer to Killzone. On top of the ps3 pricecut, there's a lot to talk about. Personally, I think the biggest news was something that no one is talking about and that is partnering with epic to tweak the ue3 to the ps3. That's really going to help a lot of developers.
All of that being said, imo sony won, the big N came in second and ms brings up the rear. Now, it should be noted that e3 this year was nothing like it has been in years past. It's certain that Nintendo and Microsoft still have cards to be played. Maybe they felt that this wasn't the time to put them on the table, while Sony really had no choice but to come out with both barrels blazing.
JMO,
