The ancient Greeks were just so damn clever. First people with real plumbing in Europe, first automated clocks (water based), and have you ever seen the Antikythera Mechanism? Yep...Greeks invented the first analog computer...probably the most sophisticated piece of equipment on the face of the earth for 15-20 centuries.
