I love it here in Canada, although I am quite bothered at times at many of our attitudes towards our french Canadian friends. To these people I ask: What would our national hockey team look like without the Québécois?

Even living here in Newfoundland all my life, I have never felt disconnected from the country. Sure, we are the butt end of many, many jokes but we're known to be able to take a joke. Thought it was hilarious how we were represented in South Park.

Oh, and we have Dogs Rule who displays what is quite common here, a great sense of pride in saying "I'm Canadian".

They would look mostly the same as they do now: 5 foot 10 - 6 foot 4 and white guys. The goaltending might suffer and there would be less french names on the backs of the jerseys, but you would fair alright. :)

I'd love to say you were being paranoid about Newfoundland, but I still get the old "Newfie" line whenever I mention the fact that my mother is Newfoundlander. At least in the older generation. Younger generations don't seem to have an opinion either way. It is an awesome place to live/visit though and if you had skiing worth writting home about I would consider retirering there. And don't bring up http://www.skimarble.com/ ;)
