It's really single player games from time to time. I mainly play online games like overwatch with my friends on a regular basis which a potato can run. But things like Control and other SP experiences is where the horse power would be required. But it feels like more and more that I am playing older titles than newer ones since a lot of the current AAA games don't seem to hold my interest. I could keep my 4090 for sure but if the ram shortage starts leveling out by mid to late 2027 like people are predicting, then I think I should be in the clear as long as the 6000 series is a good upgrade over the 50/40 series. |
In that case, something like a 5070Ti could be a good option, with DLSS giving you the extra performance boost needed from time to time. Or a 9070XT if you want to try what the red team is doing nowadays.
With that said, we have no idea when the 6000 cards will actually launch nor how much will a 6090 cost. Late 2027 or early 2028 are what the rumors say, but it may be even later than that if the RAM situation doesn't improve enough. And well, it's all but confirmed that a 6090, if Nvidia bothers to make one, will be more than what a 5090 was.
It's a gamble, and it's up to you to decide.
Please excuse my bad English.
