I live in Texas and I have no faith in the voters to elect Talarico, even when his opponent is a person almost as slimy as Trump himself. Of course Paxton isn’t doing any debates and hardly makes any public appearances (and when he does, they end the press portion immediately once real questions start coming in). He shares the complete and utter lack of shame that Trump has, he simply doesn’t have the personality Trump has, so he can’t lie to your face and make it seem true like Trump can to his MAGA sheep.
We will see.
