The Tuesday gaming news, the sequel:
Steam's tidying game trend is about to get the haunted meat it's been missing

In recent months, Steam has been awash in organize-em-ups and haystack searchers—games capitalizing on the simple pleasure of arranging a chaotic melange into an orderly assemblage. But while I'd never think to deny the meditative appeal of putting a thing in a place, I'm not going to pretend that the emergent craze isn't undergoing the same gold rush of low-effort iteration that we saw during the rash of retail sims. Visit the page for the "Organizing" tag, and you'll find as many generic variations on "Tidy up the [X]" with AI logos as the Unity and Unreal asset stores can sustain.
With Strange Scaffold at the helm, however, I feel safe betting that Something is Wrong with the Library's haunted meat labyrinth will be able to offer a sense of identity and direction that's been hard to find among the available tidying sims. After all, this is a developer that was able to use clicking as a medium for a harrowing test of psychosexual fortitude. And then made a match-three metroidvania-slash-survival-sim-parody set in a weirdo dinosaur mansion. And then an isekai-enabling driving sim.

Double Fine's first game since being dumped by Xbox will be out in just 2 weeks

It's been less than three months since Xbox kicked Double Fine Productions to the curb as part of the great "streamlining" that Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella is so excited to see. And just two weeks from today, the studio will release the first game of its post-Xbox existence: It's not what I expected, but it is most definitely a Double Fine game.
Thank You Bus Driver is a driving sim, but not of the sort you'd find in the Bus Simulator series.
World of Warcraft: Forever dev teases new 'mega dungeon' to get lost in for hours like the good ol' days

As someone who never really got to enjoy World of Warcraft in its first iteration, I'm delighted to see a tease from WoW: Forever senior game designer Josh Greenfield like this. He's specifically referring to Black Rock Depths, a sprawling dungeon from the old game that the community refers to as a "mega dungeon".
>> In other news, players have found a black market NPC who sells a 15-day movement speed buff and other rare items (link).
Konami has a Silent Hill lore bible and no, you can't see it

It comes as no surprise to me that Konami has a little lore bible for Silent Hill tucked away somewhere, or hidden behind glass in case of emergencies. But it is rather refreshing that policy sees them keep it away from development teams unless absolutely necessary.
Please excuse my bad English.
