The Darkness Unofficial PC Port Released
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/the-darkness-unofficial-pc-port-released/
A week ago, one of our readers told me about an unofficial PC port of the first The Darkness game. At the time, the project had several issues, so I decided to wait until it was in better shape. Now, we have a new version that looks much more polished. In other words, it seems to be in a good state and worth checking out.
This unofficial PC version of The Darkness supports 60FPS, ultrawide monitors, as well as keyboard and mouse. It also comes with a FOV slider. Not only that, but it has a dedicated graphics menu that allows you to easily enable and disable these options.
Version 0.1.2 brings several visual fixes. It improves Darkness Vision and restores its golden glow around objects. The update also keeps the right glow strength and fade effects. It also fixes the noise effect after a texture cache miss. These changes make Darkness Vision look much closer to the original game.
The update also fixes many shadow problems. Character shadows should no longer flicker or disappear when the camera moves. Small objects can now cast shadows again. The update also fixes wrong shadow placement and dark areas. It also keeps transparent objects from casting solid shadows. The original shadow effects have also been restored.
Version 0.1.2 also improves the game at higher resolutions. It fixes a green-gray tint in dark areas above 720p. It also fixes 1080p image issues and restores the original shadow filter at higher render sizes. The update adds an optional F8 tool for frame and shadow captures. It also includes a better setup guide. The guide explains how to prepare your own game files and check that they are supported. The update keeps your game files, saves, and settings when you upgrade from v0.1.1.
You can go ahead and download this unofficial PC port of The Darkness from this link (Github). As with all recompilations, it does not have any in-game assets. This means that you have to provide your own Xbox 360 ISO to play it.

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess PC Update 2.0.2 Released
https://www.dsogaming.com/patches/the-legend-of-zelda-twilight-princess-pc-update-2-0-2-released/
A few days ago, the team behind Dusklight, the unofficial PC port of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, released Update 2.0.2. So, let’s see what this update brings to the table.
Dusklight v2.0.2 adds a useful new feature to the Save Manager. You can now import saves between different regions. You can also move saves between GameCube and Wii versions. Speedrun Mode now shows which mods are active, making it easier to see your current setup.
The update also fixes several issues with controls, sound, graphics, and crashes. Mouse buttons now work with custom actions, such as First Person mode. The update fixes file selection on some iOS installs and a startup crash on Macs with AMD GPUs. It also fixes music stopping between scenes and a crash that could happen when calling Midna while opening the map or item wheel. Other fixes cover Mirror Mode fades, Magic Armor, Shad’s reward, controller button mappings, and mod WebSocket messages.
Dusklight v2.0.2 also updates its built-in Randomizer to version 1.0.5. This fixes crashes when switching game modes and stops users from deleting seeds that are still in use. It also fixes several randomizer issues with warps, boss rooms, dungeon entrances, and item rewards. More fixes improve logic in Faron, Eldin, and the Palace of Twilight. The update also fixes the Sacred Grove Portal in starting inventory and makes spoiler logs use valid YAML.
You can go ahead and download this latest version of Dusklight from here (Github).

This mod delivers what Valheim was missing all these years: seasons
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/survival-crafting/this-mod-delivers-what-valheim-was-missing-all-these-years-seasons/
Valheim's 1.0 update isn't even a month old yet, but the modding scene is already filled with tons of impressive fan-made creations for custom worlds. My immediate favorites were quality-of-life mods fixing some of vanilla Valheim's most grating nuisances, but I've slowly tinkered with the more expansive stuff, like the aptly named Seasons mod by Shudnal.
Seasons does exactly what the name implies, adding four distinct and dynamic times of the year to all of Valheim's typically static biomes. Take the Meadows, for instance. Spring is lush green (as usual) before the summer heat slowly turns some patches of grass yellow. Then there's fall, which brings more orangey hues to the zone and darker evenings before transitioning into winter—snow-covered treetops and all.
And man, for someone who hates snow so much in real life, I love winter in a survival game. It feels like building a scene for a Christmas card, especially in a game as pretty as Valheim, but it's just not possible in vanilla until you're in the mid or endgame. Even then, I don't like building in the rocky terrain of the Mountains, and the Deep North is pretty, but hazardous. The Gammeltrolls don't give a damn about how hard I worked on my cabin. They're shotgun-blasting it with trees, and probably hitting me again with what remains.
