Embodied intelligence needs to be a lot further along than it is for this to happen. Decent embodied intelligence is probably still 5-7 years out.
If we get super-intelligent non-embodied systems before we get embodied intelligent systems, then "the elites" are probably going to be no more. An AI-induced Great Depression, which seems like an inevitability, will kill capitalism.
Then the major problems with AI resolve themselves as we move to a new socio-economic system where people can sustain their lives without laboring or pretending to labor.
