I'm closer to an FPS hater than an FPS enjoyer. I have played fewer hours of FPS games than fingers on my hands. The only two games I have tried is Counter Strike and Halo 2.
But I have watched my friends and siblings play a lot of FPS games and for me there is a clear winner in Unreal Tournament. Would put the golden age of FPS right around the millennium, late 1990 to early 2000.
