What can I say. I'm open to a lot of different kinds of games... or maybe not all that different, but still a lot of games. I kind of wish Steam wishlist had a tier system where I could have must-buy titles in one list, maybe-buy-if-stars-align titles in another, and the other remaining titles in the last one. I don't think we're getting that, though, so manual prioritization will have to do. Even my partner has about 80 titles on her wishlist, even though she's had a gaming PC only since 2018 and has added new games to her wishlist quite sparingly. There's just so much interesting stuff on Steam. And it's not like I add games to my wishlist just based on how they look, although that's important too. I usually go through all the screenshots, sometimes some videos/GIFs, get an idea of what gameplay is generally about, even if I don't necessarily get a good feel for it, and I definitely take a look at user reviews if the game has those. Personally I'm amazed how someone can have only 11 wishlisted games. I guess those 174 followed titles are doing a lot of heavy lifting to keep your wishlist tidy. I don't follow a lot of games myself. I've considered doing more of that for unreleased games, but I know I'd never get around to adding them to my wishlist if they turn out good, so I just wishlist them and maybe remove them from there if they end up sucking. |
Well, I'm no psychologist, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's a throwback to when we were asked as kids what we wanted for our birthday or X-mas. You had to be sure about what you wanted.
But who knows.

Delaying them to 2028 sucks, but it's also bad to see how they raise the price of their current GPUs every couple of months.
It won't happen, but I'd really love for them to take the extra time to make sure the hardware delivers and the drivers are in mint condition.
As for AMD's take on DLSS5, it was all but expected. After all, if Nvidia does something, AMD follows suit. Let's just hope they do it well in their first try, unlike RT or multi-frame gen.
Please excuse my bad English.
