So prices for Pocket Duo/Lite are:
Pocket Duo 8/128 - $269 ($249 until Oct 15th 2026)
Pocket Duo Lite 4/64 - $149 ($135 until Sep 19th 2026)
Pocket Duo Lite 6/128 - $169 ($155 until Sep 19th 2026)
For reference:
AYN Thor 8/128 - $329
AYN Thor Lite 8/128 - $259
Benchmarks are yet to come, but going by SoC inside Pocket Duo, it should be some 40% faster than 865 in AYN Thor Lite, so for that price it seems like a great value. Apparently, it will handle 3DS even at 4x, however, it is only half as good as 8 Gen 2 in AYN Thor, so depending on use case, I find Thor for $60 more (or $80 in this promo period) to be more than worth it.
On the other hand, Duo Lite will struggle with 3DS, even at 1x, so it's probably DS only, like Anbernic RG DS/Plus, which is not a good sign. I'm eagerly looking forward for tests of Duo Lite, cause honestly, I wouldn't expect Retroid to underdeliver, like it seems it will with this one.
