I have a very, very low opinion of frame generation. It’s been ruining movies and television for years.
In gaming, it has ONE specific utility: promoting frame rate stability where it otherwise would not be achieved. Outside of that particular circumstance, it harms performance for the sake of running an approximation of the actual game.
The way frame generation is marketed, I just consider it a slop-filter.
