I consider the PS2 gen to be one of... if not the best.
Same with the PS4 gen (and Switch).
I guess I just like Sony and Nintendo doing well.
So I think I'm actually okay with a One-sided victory.
This gen, is just bad management top level.
I cannot believe Sony wasted so much time, trying like ~13 live service games.... that seemingly all flopped or didn't even launch.
If they had just focused on strong single player titles, I think they would have been ahead by more, and the general "feel"
of the generation would be better (ei. Happier user bases on the PS5 side).
The PS3 gen was competitive,.... but I don't look back nearly as fondly at the PS3 as I do the PS1/2/4.
