Wired controllers.

Every big game releasing in the holiday season so Spring and summer months are mostly dry.

3rd party controllers being shit. These days we have 8bitdo and such doing great work.

Memory cards.

Screen tearing in the 7th gen.

Racism/bias against Japan in the 2000s but mostly 7th gen.

Any E3 shows 7th gen and up to its death. Miserable.

Worse accessibility.

I feel like wired controllers were only an issue if they were under 6 feet and especially 4 feet or under. Most people didn't have big screen TVs for the longest time, so they didn't need to sit far from the TV.

Sega Mega Drive and PC Engine had short cords.

Atari 2600 only had a 4 ft cord too but for the time I think that wasn't short at all even if it should've been longer.

Ever stepped on the cord and the whole console came off the table by accident? It was nice when original Xbox made them break away.
