Hell noo!!!! You sir dont know the extent of how many japanese games there are on ps4,not even counting the indies and i only talk about physical games.

yeah there's more slop probably, not as many highly regarded games /good games

Capcom:

RE2R, RE4R, RE7, RE8, MHW, MHR, Iceborne, Sunbreak, SF5, SF6, DMC5. (Maybe I should mention RE3R too, since it sold over 10 million despite being mediocre).

SquareEnix:

FF7R, FF14 and expansions (only ARR and Heavensward were crossgen with PS3), DQ11, NieR Automata, TWEWY Neo, FF15, KH3.

From Software:

Bloodborne, Dark Souls 3, Sekiro, Elden Ring, Armored Core 6.

Atlus:

Persona 5 (crossgen), P5R, SMT5V, Metaphor.

It's the standard opinion that Japanese developers struggled in the transition to HD, and "made a comeback" on PS4. If you think they were better on PS3, it's fine and you're entitled to your opinion. But saying there weren't as many highly regarded Japanese games on PS4 is delusional and goes against the consensus.

The best Japanese games in the PS3 era were spread out across multiple consoles and handhelds. PS3 by itself wasn't that good. One PS3 highlight though was that Platinum Games made 3 great games on it (including a terrible port made externally) vs just NieR Automata on PS4. Platinum prioritised Nintendo's platforms after PS3.
