If the primary ingredient in what i'm eating is eggs then I would generally favour poached or scrambled.
When eggs are fried I think it's fairly rare here in UK to flip the egg, normal practice is to flick a little of the hot fat on top of the egg to seal the yolk. (genuinely didn't know what "over-easy" meant till I was in my 20s as it's a very American term)
Perhaps to balance it out I should inject some Britishism; so as a kid I liked my eggs "runny with soldiers".
