Full names and adresses is a big deal. This will cause troubles to a lor of people.

And to think that it comes from a "business intelligence platform"... not managing to keep the information of one of your clients protected is not very intelligent from them.

It was also an SQL injection, one of the best-known software vulnerabilities in general and one that has been extremely easy to prevent for a really long time in multiple ways. This is beyond incompetence, this is priorities being set in a terrible, terrible way.

In that case, it makes things extremely worse for them, as it all boils down to incompetence, and that's not good for business.

If I were one of the other clients of the firm, which I expect to also be affected by this mess, I'd leave them immediately.

Memory prices have erased 20 years of progress in a single year, researcher says

https://www.techspot.com/news/113406-memory-prices-have-surged-2007-levels-after-decades.html

Memory prices are still much much cheaper per GB than 20 years ago.

The problem is the trend. Technology always became cheaper over time, but now it's going the other way around. And it's the second component that changes trends, with GPUs first and now also RAM.

Please excuse my bad English.
