I live in a cheap apartment,  drive a beater 05 Corolla 7 miles to work, and buy groceries at Aldi/Costo. Also, a few of these had to be financed but I'll have it paid off by January. Snatcher was $450 under ebay and a lot of the others were less than ebay. Been collecting for 20 years, so a lot of shops and people I regularly buy from are happy to give a pretty steep discount because I usually buy a lot or buy expensive stuff. 

Only have $5500 left on my NA wishlist, not counting Sega Saturn. Hopefully I can find most of that at Midwest Gaming Classic this upcoming year. Also, with PS5 ending discs in 2028, I think retro game prices will jump another 15% or more.

Indeed it is! They seem to have done a great job at recreating that translucent era of consoles. The jungle green N64 was my first ever console, so I felt it was appropriate to go with that option again. From unboxing videos, it looks almost exactly the same size as the original N64. Everything about it is open sourced and the components used in the console, controller, and even cartridges are designed to last for decades, if not centuries. I'm excited for it to get here!

Love the Everdrive though! I still have about a dozen cartridges that have withstood the test of time, but several over the years have not. Would love to rebuild my original collection, but life takes other priorities. I try to get a game here and there when I can, but my Everdrive at least still allows me to have that original experience.

This is what the Green M64 will look like along with the controller. Picked the right time as the green controller is currently sold out.

I also love that the controllers and the cartridges they're making are fully compatible with original N64 hardware. 

Oh man new controllers are awesome! Are they hall-effect? Everdrives are a fantastic way to play without breaking the bank. If you still have some of those old dead cartridges put a little Adam's Iron Remover on the contacts. It's the stuff they use to take iron deposits off car paint. Give it 5 minutes to melt the iron off the brass and then clean it with alchohol. They should comeback to life. 

TMR sticks! Which from what I understand, are supposed to be superior to Hall Effect. They did make the stick swappable as well, which they included a couple of different gates if you want the stick to have a different feeling. They're supposed to be selling a mod kit at some point down the road as well if you want to change out things like the membrane for a softer feeling click. The included cable to connect to the original N64 hardware seems to be absurdly long, too. That was always a gripe back in the day lol.

Oh dope!! I figured there were ways to clean the contacts, but I just have never been able to get around to looking into it. I got rid of a few minus 2. Primarily because of how expensive I know they can be. StarCraft 64 and Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine. I know they don't work anymore, but I held onto them just in the hope that one day I could do something about it lol thanks for the tip!
